The question how lobbying of the Armenian diasporas in the European countries, in the United States, in Russia, in France, in Canada, in Germany, in Australia, in Lebanon, in Syria and elsewhere has infiltrated the corridors of the political, cultural and scientific powers in those nations, needs a multi-layered response.


Buying influences in the politics of those nations have enabled the Armenian lobbyists to engineers deeply their agendas merely for their own crusading purposes.

A 2009 article of The Virtual Karabakh (virtualkarabakh.az) entitled "Armenian issue" written by Yusif Gaziyev addresses, "The main aim of this lobby is to defend Armenian diaspora, Armenia and Nagorno- Karabakh separatists' interests. Armenian lobby carries out and realises its political objectives and policy in the countries such as the United States, the Argentina, Ethiopia, Uruguay, Lebanon, Iran, Russia, Syria, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus."

The author adds, " Just in the USA the Armenian community owns 23 newspapers and magazines, publishing houses, radio and television means. Today Yerevan gets aid in the amount of averagely $ 200 million from the United States every year. According to Zbigniev Bjezinskinin the Armenian lobby in the United States is one of the most effective ethnic one."

The writer of the article, Mr. Gaziyev notes, "In 1972 the most influential members of Diasporas, who were in opposition to Dashnaksutyun, established "The Armenian Assembly of America" s (AAA)."

He goes on to say, "For this purpose they involved authoritative men’s finance as well. Two Armenian origin professors of George Washington University are considered to be the founders of assembly."

He names the names and says, " They are Steven Mugar (Stephen Mugar) and Hirayir Hovanyan. (Hirair Hovnanian). At the present time, "The American Armenians National Committee " and "The Armenian Assembly of America," are operating separately."

On on 0 October 4, 2017, Andrew KORYBKO, a political analyst, journalist and a regular contributor to several online journals, wrote an article entitled "The US-Based Armenian Lobby Is On A Mission To Provoke Azerbaijan And Russia" published THE ORIENTAL REVIEW (orientalreview.org) in which he pointed out that one of the most influential weapons that Armenia has in its foreign policy toolkit is its US-based diaspora lobby in California, which supports their homeland’s most nationalistic and firebrand policies.

The author of several online journals, Korybko says, "To explain, the US-based diaspora lobbied to bring several congressmen to Armenia in mid-September, though instead of only touring the country and conducting their affairs within it, they were also whisked off on a highly publicized visit to the occupied regions of Western Azerbaijan."

He goes on to add, "It can be strongly inferred that all of this was planned in advance given the close relationships that the US-based Armenian lobby has with some of those politicians."

This journalist also address, "This inflammatory visit was designed to trigger a scandal in American-Azerbaijani relations, one which would work out in favor of the pro-American diaspora in getting Yerevan to side closer with Washington.

He states that the grand geopolitical realignment taking place in the Caucasus is to Russia’s overall strategic detriment, and Armenia’s US-based lobbying groups are keenly aware of this and fully support it.

On January 8, 2016, Arzu Geybulla writes an article entitled "Searching for the ‘Armenian Lobby’ " published in the website of "opendemocracy.net". She notes, : "According to these conspiracies, Azerbaijan has two main enemies: the Armenian lobby and the jealous west."

The author adds, " As the former is often said to finance the latter, these two enemies become one: an omnipresent and all-powerful ‘Armenian lobby’. This powerful structure has become a commonly used weapon in the hands of the authoritarian leadership of Azerbaijan to crack down on dissent."

The writer continues, " By referring to all of its critics both at home and abroad as Armenian, pro-Armenian, and representing Armenian interests, the authorities have created a quick conspiracy formula for muzzling independent voices by labelling them as traitors."

On Oct 24, 2014, Maayan Jaffe's blog published an article entitled "Armenian-American lobby is powerful, despite overt support of Iran, Russia and opposition to Israel, Azerbaijan" in which she points the following, "We hear a lot of noise from the pro-Israel and Cuban-American lobbies, vaunted on Capitol Hill and in the media. Rarely do we hear about another highly influential force — the Armenian-American lobby. Former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski once referred to the Armenian-American lobby as one of the three most influential foreign-ethnic lobbies in the U.S."

The writer of this article in a blog, Mrs. Jaffe explains, " It [i.e. Armenian lobby] brings in $90 million of U.S. aid to Armenia on an annual basis, regularly blocks aid to close U.S. and Israeli ally-Azerbaijan, stalls arms deals with U.S. ally and NATO member-Turkey (a much larger and more important regional power), and pushes each year – over the objections of Ankara – a Congressional resolution recognizing Armenian genocide."

She goes further to say, "Like other significant lobbying forces, the Armenian-American lobby is not made up of a single group, but of a network of organizations, acting in concert."

The author details this: "These groups include the Armenian American Political Action Committee, the Armenian National Committee of America and The Armenian Assembly of America. They are bolstered by a network of local and state organizations, which are also heavily involved in the political process — many times oddly in the realm of U.S. foreign policy, a place in which they have no expertise or business."

Maayan Jaffe-Hoffman, who is news editor and head of online content and strategy for The Jerusalem Post, addresses, "Supporters of Armenia in Congress have thus far gotten a free pass."

She continues, "These Members of Congress have unabashedly accepted campaign contributions from the lobby, and have looked the other way while Armenia aids and abets Iran, and Armenia’s American friends provide political support for Armenian-Iranian ties. It’s high time that these Members of Congress are called out for it."

This journalist explains that yet Armenian friends in Congress seem to have done just that, continuing to do Armenia’s bidding in Congress and providing the country significant financial aid.

Many members of the Armenian diasporas around the globe have penetrated into of the administrative positions thanks to their  connectedness and networks with the religious crusaders  in the establishments and churches and  also because of their crusading mentality against Turks which they market everywhere.
